“The thing I remember most about my youth in rural West Cumbria is the long car journeys, and how drastically different the soundtrack to these journeys was depending on who was behind the wheel.
My parents saw to it that I grew up on a diet of everything from Simon and Garfunkel to Iron Maiden, Johnny Cash to Pink Floyd, The Beatles to The Stranglers, the list is near endless.

It should have been of no surprise to them that by age 13 I was engrossed with music, something which I’m almost certain made me a nightmare for the education system to deal with. Regardless of this, home was, and still is, the soul within my writing and the strongest guiding force behind my creativity.
